A exposição Tempo e Existência resulta de uma coletânea de tudo um pouco o que o artista trabalhou estes últimos anos.

Nesta exposição o artista procura também partilhar outras formas de se fotografar para além de metodologias mecânicas e óticas.

Na exposição Ecos do Ser surgem obras relacionadas à introspeção, ao lírico, ao onírico, ao íntimo; é onde habitam as figuras antropomórficas recorrentes e já muito características do trabalho da artista, associadas à complexidade psicológica e ontológica do ser humano, seja de uma forma mais íntima ou através de um olhar sobre o coletivo. A via projetual a que estas obras pertencem tem uma intenção de consciencializar e celebrar a vida humana.

The design path to which these works belong has the intention of raising awareness and celebrating human life.

Em 2023, a Residência Artística desenvolveu-se em Vila do Conde, um território que se estende de um litoral ventoso, mais frequentado por poetas e turistas, até um interior rural e industrial, menos visível e representado, que faz fronteira e comunica com outras paisagens atravessadas pelo rio Ave.  Ao propor uma pesquisa e observação em proximidade com a comunidade que nos acolheu, preocupamo-nos também a partilha desse trabalho, devolvendo-o agora a quem permitiu que fosse feito. Os ensaios fotográficos que aqui se apresentam, são o resultado das visões livres e pessoais de cada autor, enquadradas por uma delimitação geográfica e temporal, entre o interior e o exterior dos lugares e das pessoas.

In 2023, the Artistic Residency was developed in Vila do Conde, a territory that stretches from a windy coastline, more frequented by poets and tourists, to a rural and industrial interior, less visible and represented, which borders and communicates with other landscapes crossed by the Ave river. By proposing research and observation in close proximity to the community that welcomed us, we are also concerned with sharing this work, now returning it to those who allowed it to be done. The photographic essays presented here are the result of the free and personal visions of each author, framed by a geographical and temporal delimitation, between the interior and exterior of places and people.

No decorrer das residências artísticas, que tiveram lugar entre os meses de abril e maio de 2023, os estudantes do Mestrado em Comunicação Audiovisual idealizaram e realizaram filmes e projetos fotográficos com um tema comum: Vila do Conde. Deste momento resultaram quatro filmes e diversos projetos fotográficos.

Os filmes documentais focaram-se ambos nas comunidades piscatórias de Vila do Conde: “Imigrantes do Mar” oferece-nos um retrato intimista da vida de imigrantes indonésios instalados nas Caxinas, que a equipa de rodagem acompanhou tanto em terra como no mar; e “Mestres, Mães do Mar”, também ambientado nas Caxinas, concentra-se sobretudo na vida de três peixeiras que tratam do negócio em terra enquanto os maridos vão para o mar. Por sua vez, os dois filmes de ficção, embora criativamente autónomos nas histórias que contam, também foram ambos integralmente filmados no Município para aproveitar a sua riqueza paisagística, arquitetónica, cenográfica. No primeiro filme, “Palavras Cruzadas”, uma mulher muda-se para o ambiente rural em busca de respostas sobre o seu pai; no segundo filme, “Clave de Lua”, um compositor fica alojado num mosteiro antigo, onde compõe uma das peças mais importantes da sua vida.

Quanto aos projetos fotográficos, todos desenvolvidos individualmente, os temas foram diversos: um retrato da nova fábrica de tecido e papel que substituiu a antiga Outex; uma reflexão visual sobre a noção de senso comum; um olhar estético sobre o farol na costa vilacondense; uma reflexão sobre a presença humana em espaços banais, como um café ou uma mercearia; um estudo da passagem do tempo, no comparativo entre fotografias antigas e atuais de Vila do Conde; entre outros projetos. 

During the artistic residencies, which took place between April and May 2023, students of the Master’s in Audiovisual Communication designed and produced films and photographic projects with a common theme: Vila do Conde.This moment resulted in four films and several photography projects.

The documentary films both focused on the fishing communities of Vila do Conde: “Imigrantes do Mar” offers us an intimate portrait of the lives of Indonesian immigrants settled in Caxinas, whom the film crew followed both on land and at sea; and “Mestres, Mães do Mar”, also set in Caxinas, focuses mainly on the lives of three fishwives who take care of business on land while their husbands go to sea.In turn, the two fiction films, although creatively autonomous in the stories they tell, were also both filmed entirely in the Municipality to take advantage of its landscape, architectural and scenographic richness. In the first film, “Crosswords,” a woman moves to a rural setting in search of answers about her father; In the second film, “Clave de Lua”, a composer stays in an old monastery, where he composes one of the most important pieces of his life.

As for the photographic projects, all developed individually, the themes were diverse: a portrait of the new fabric and paper factory that replaced the old Outex; a visual reflection on the notion of common sense; an aesthetic look at the lighthouse on the Vilacondense coast; a reflection on human presence in ordinary spaces, such as a café or a grocery store; a study of the passage of time, comparing old and current photographs of Vila do Conde; among other projects.

“Ficcionar o Real: O Quotidiano Mágico” reúne trabalhos desenvolvidos pelos estudantes finalistas da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais. A exposição estará patente no CAAA Centro para os Assuntos da Arte e Arquitectura até 30 de julho.

Os estundantes Albjon Lushi, Ana Leandro, André de Abreu, Diana Costa, Eleonor Cadete, Helena Figueiredo, Hugo Sousa, Inês Varandas, Joana de Carvalho, Liliana Martins de Miranda, MANIA, Mónica Lucas, Rita Peixoto, Sofia Morim, Tamy Harada e Vera Vieira apresentam modos de olhar e viver os nossos tempos interessantes ficcionando o real e trazendo magia para o quotidiano.

“Fictioning the Real: The Magical Everyday” brings together works developed by undergraduate students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts. The exhibition will be on display at the CAAA Center for Art and Architecture Affairs until July 30.

Encontra-se patente até 26 de maio, no Estudio UM da EAAD, a Exposição ConfinArte, uma mostra coletiva de trabalhos dos estudantes de Desenho IV do 2º ano da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais, com coordenação da Professora Natacha Moutinho.

Os trabalhos, realizados durante os três meses de confinamento, resultam das propostas de trabalho “Controlo/Descontrolo” e ” Retrato e Representação”, e visam a exploração das linguagem e temas do desenho, incidindo na exploração de instrumentos, materiais e matérias, suporte e suas escalas e a (in)definições de representação.
Esta mostra reúne trabalhos de: Ana Leandro, André Abreu, Diana Costa, Eleonor Cadete, Helena Figueiredo, Hugo Sousa, Inês Pereira, Joana Carvalho, Liliana Miranda, Marisa Macedo, Mónica Lucas, Rita Peixot, Simão Rouxinol, Sofia Morim, Tamy Harada e Vera Vieira.

The ConfinArte Exhibition, a collective exhibition of works by Drawing IV students from the 2nd year of the Visual Arts Degree, coordinated by Professor Natacha Moutinho, will be on display until May 26th at Estudio UM at EAAD.

The works, carried out during the three months of confinement, result from the work proposals “Control/Discontrol” and “Portrait and Representation”, and aim to explore the language and themes of drawing, focusing on the exploration of instruments, materials and materials, support and their scales and the (in)definitions of representation.

Mostra dos trabalhos realizados por 20 alunos do 1º ano da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais da Universidade do Minho, Escola de Arquitetura da Universidade do Minho – Campus de Azurém – Guimarães, 17 de Janeiro de 2020.

No âmbito da licenciatura em Artes Visuais inaugura-se, no dia 17 de janeiro de 2020 às 18h00, no museu EAUM, uma mostra dos trabalhos realizados por 20 alunos do 1º ano do curso.

As obras apresentadas são a resposta ao desafio lançado aos estudantes: descobrir a cidade de Guimarães através de exercícios transversais a todas as unidades curriculares.

O ato de observar e “caminhar” foram usados como metodologia de investigação artística, incentivando estes estudantes a descobrir o território onde irão estudar nos próximos anos. Cada estudante produziu o seu projeto artístico individual, com liberdade de meios e técnicas que desenvolveram a mostra coletiva intitulada “Parte do Caminho”.

As part of the Visual Arts degree, an exhibition of works by 20 first-year students will be inaugurated at the EAUM museum on January 17, 2020 at 6 pm.

The works presented are the response to the challenge posed to students: discovering the city of Guimarães through exercises that are transversal to all curricular units.

The act of observing and “walking” were used as a methodology of artistic investigation, encouraging these students to discover the territory where they will study in the coming years. Each student produced their individual artistic project, with freedom of means and techniques that developed the collective exhibition entitled “Part of the Path”.
