Este projeto começa desde já de um interesse pessoal pela agricultura. Este interesse resultou da prática da mesma. Desde cedo fui habituado pelo meu Pai a trabalhos laborais onde o observava, numa primeira fase, onde depois passara já a ajudá-lo nas tarefas que me solicitava.

Quando o meu Pai me solicita ajuda no campo, levo sempre comigo, ou quase sempre, uma câmara e algumas lentes. Aproveito momentos mortos, ou de espera, para precisamente documentar aquilo que fazemos. Estas fotografias não são apenas uma lembrança do que o meu Pai fez ou outras pessoas que deste projeto fazem parte fizeram, é também sobre aquilo que fiz.

Com as seguintes fotografias refleti que para além do fotógrafo, operator segundo o Roland Barthes, sou sobretudo alguém participativo na ação que fotografo. Fotografo as minhas mãos como uma prova de alguém participativo na ação.

This project now begins with a personal interest in agriculture. This interest resulted from its practice. From an early age I was accustomed by my Father to work where I would initially observe him, and then I would start helping him with the tasks he asked me to do.

When my Father asks me for help in the field, I always take with me, or almost always, a camera and some lenses. I take advantage of dead moments, or moments of waiting, to document what we do. These photographs are not just a reminder of what my Father did or other people who are part of this project did, it is also about what I did.

With the following photographs I reflected that in addition to the photographer, an operator according to Roland Barthes, I am above all someone who participates in the action I photograph. I photograph my hands as proof of someone participating in the action.
