Documentação fotográfica do desmanche de uma nogueira com cerca de 50 anos que caíra, resultado da tempestade “Kirk” no mês de Outubro de 2024.

Foi importante desmanchar esta nogueira por várias razões. Tanto pelo facto da mesma ter caído no caminho que daria acesso ao campo, dificultando imenso o percurso até ao mesmo, como pelo facto de ter caído por cima da rede protetora de um galinheiro.

A nogueira encontrava-se dentro do galinheiro. A tempestade fez com que a mesma caísse no sentido do caminho de acesso ao campo caindo esta também por cima desta rede protetora do galinheiro, danificando-a. Isto permite uma maior facilidade de caça de possíveis predadores. Neste sentido seria de extrema importância e urgência desmanchar esta nogueira.

Photographic documentation of the cutting of a walnut tree, around 50 years old, that had fallen, as a result of the “Kirk” storm in October 2024.

It was important to crack this nut tree for several reasons. Both because it fell on the path that would give access to the field, making the journey to it immensely difficult, and because it fell over the protective wire of a chicken coop.

The walnut was found inside the chicken coop. The storm caused it to fall towards the access road to the field, falling over the chicken coop’s protective netting, damaging it. This makes it easier to hunt potential predators. In this sense, it would be extremely important and urgent to dismantle this walnut tree.

Progressão temporal do desaparecimento e desmanche da figueira caída.

Esta figueira tem uma grande importância pessoal pelo facto da mesma ter sido um “ex-libris” deste campo onde cresci. Desde muito pequeno me lembro desta árvore e passei também algumas tardes em cima dela apenas contemplando e refletindo a estesia bucólica do ambiente em que me vivia. Foi uma árvore realmente importante para mim, apesar de nunca ter gostado de figos.

Fiquei profundamente triste com a notícia e efetiva vivência da sua queda, pelo facto de como mencionado ter uma forte ligação afetiva a este ser. No entanto, esta tragédia permitiu-me refletir a coisa mais redundante desta vida, tudo nasce, vive, e morre.

Importante será mencionar que foi plantada uma nova figueira no mesmo local.

Temporal progression of the disappearance and dismantling of the fallen fig tree.

This fig tree has great personal importance because it was an “ex-libris” of this field where I grew up. Since I was very little, I remember this tree and I also spent some afternoons on top of it just contemplating and reflecting the bucolic aesthetics of the environment in which I lived. It was a really important tree for me, even though I never liked figs.

I was deeply saddened by the news and actual experience of his fall, due to the fact that, as mentioned, I had a strong emotional connection to this being. However, this tragedy allowed me to reflect on the most redundant thing in this life: everything is born, lives, and dies.

It is important to mention that a new fig tree was planted in the same location.
